Other Features: We wish to welcome Curtis Wilson to our gallery of handmade knives with this terrific bird and trout knife that has been beautifully scrimmed by well known scrimshander, Lori Ristinen.  The cherry blossoms and stalk growth on the presentation side of the knife add a touch of elegance to this lovely piece.  The blade steel is a random pattern carbon damascus made from 512 layers of 5160 & 1018 carbon steels.  To add some additional elegance, Mr. Wilson made the bolsters from a raindrop pattern mokume which has colors that match the scrimshaw work quite nicely.  This wonderful piece is has great atypical beauty that represents attributes that many collectors of fixed blades do not have.  Whether you admire this knife because of it style, potential utility, or embellishments, there is a great deal to like about this lovely bird and trout piece.  You can even use it as a steak knife if you would like.  It is just the right size, and the damascus is designed to cut.
