Frank Potter was the only one to get this steel and to this day, you will never see it used by another maker. The bolster steel is the quite popular raindrop pattern by Mike Norris which was fluted by Mr. Potter. This steel is well known for its durability and beauty. Frank carved and fileworked the bolster steel to further enhance the artistic flair of this gorgeous knife. Mr. Potter then used large pieces of ancient wooly mammoth bark with blue and green highlights for the handle scales of this piece, and shaped them perfectly to enhance the persian influence. For liners and locking mechanism, Mr. Potter carved and anodized titanium, cut and fitted the material perfectly for a terrific lockup. The backspacer is a combination of fileworked stainless and black lip pearl inlaid between two distinct backspacer sections. Inside the knife, you will also find a bit of a surprise with some extra work performed by Mr. Potter, The lower portion of the backspacer is also fileworked and inlaid with a slice of paua shell.
