Blade Composition: SatinFinished ATS-34
Bolster Composition: 416 Stainless

Special Features: Rick Browne is a very talented and versatile maker from Upland, CA.  He has of late, been gaining popularity with his traditional patterned slipjoint folders. Direct from the Expo 09 Custom Knife Show comes this beautiful smaller double blade trapper.   This knife represents a wonderful representation of a classic pattern that is very popular.  Rick started with exquisite amber jigged bone , with deep contrast, and lovely intricate jig; and went from there.  He employed ATS-34 stainless steel for the blade, 416 stainless for the bolsters and ATS-34 for the springs.  The knife is held together with stainless pins.  This piece is meant to be used and has a great deal of utility for such a low profile in the pocket.  The blade has great action.  Not a wobble can be found.  And the spring action is easy and smooth and will not break a nail.  The spring and blade spines sit perfectly flush when in both the half stop and deployed positions.  By the picture, you can see how great the blade and spring come together.  The knife rivals the work of the best makers in the world today.    Thank you Rick for another fantastically executed work of knife art.
